Conversations with the Goddess
Poeme |
Inspired by Chausson: Poeme for Violin & Orchestra; and
a poem "Your Face".
Your face
is a glistening teardrop
from the moon
who weeps with joy
at the darkness of the night
that allows her to shine so bright
Your laugh
turns your eyes into ships
sailing fast across
the still, still sea
of silence between our hearts
Your mouth
is the blossom of your heart
coursing towards the light
producing bejeweled seeds
upon contact with my breathless ear
Your hands
hold a universe of stillness
an infinite longing
a glimmering, chiming prayer
rendering my skin
peacefully blind, enraged, and senseless
effortlessly open, rested, and free
Jessica Todd, February 23, 2005
Dedicated to Diana Soline.

Waiting |
"Seek the place where you

Open as a window waiting for the wind." -Fredrick Zydek

I was sitting on a smooth, round boulder watching a mountain stream
dance just below my bare feet. I was holding a bright red apple.
As I bit into it, its sweet and slightly sour juice filled my mouth.
I looked at the bitten apple and the Goddess revealed herself to me…"
